   This is an excellent protective case, which is ideal as the Kowa TSN 66A does not have protective armour around it (which you find on Swarovski spotting scopes). This protective case very light-weight, which is superb when you don’t want to add extra weight to your backpack when hiking around with the spotting scope. It is made of easy-to-hold fabric, is very easy to assemble (it comes in four connective parts) and even comes with very helpful carry/shoulder straps. The objective lens cover comes with a helpful inner elastic to hold the lens cap, but as both ends of this case cover the lenses protectively anyway, it actually removes the need for the lens caps themselves. This is especially useful as the ocular lens cap has unhelpful ruts on the inside of it, which – when removed – leaves pressure marks on the eyepiece. For any of you who – like me – loves being on the move for long hikes or birdwatching, this protective case is a super investment for an awesome, top-tier spotting scope.
