The Swarovski ATS 80 HD is for many birdwatchers the best solution for getting great image quality and excellent low light performance from a scope that is light enough to take anywhere. Offering amongst the best image quality available in the lightest weight (~1650g with eyepiece) high end 80mm scope, this is a good model to choose if you are often out at dawn and dusk, or frequently need to use the top of the magnification range (e.g. reservoirs, estuaries, gull roosts, etc.).
Swarovski market this model as a starter scope, but there are many dedicated birdwatchers and professionals who use the ATS 80 HD because it is a proven reliable workhorse with outstanding image quality.
