Drew and I then slogged it up the point (our original plan) and what started off as a fairly quiet start quickly turned into a truly memorable evening with 50 Pied fly, 10 Whinchat, 15 Redstart, 10 Spot fly, 6 Tree pipit, 2 Wryneck and a Melodious warbler.
Connecting with a new bird for me in Norfolk is always special and doing so on nearly the furthest part of Blakeney Point, yesterday, even more fulfilling. This fabulous Melodious Warbler is only the seventh recorded for the county. Congrats and thanks to finder Andy Stoddart.
